Musical Knees   This involves all the girls that want to play. Based on that, you need one less in the guys group. The music starts with guys inside going clockwise, ladies outside going counterclockwise. Music stops, guys go to one knee, girls have to sit COMPLETELY on the knee of a guy. You remove the guys as you would chairs. Game is played the same as regular musical chairs.

Name That Tune / Artist    Play parts of songs and ask for artists or song title, maybe even year the song came out.

Twister   Yes the game from the old days… it still works and people of all ages have fun with it.

Freeze Dance   DJ announces "Everyone out on the floor for the freeze dance". Kids normally join in without too much encouragement. Music starts immediately. DJ will ask for a few judges to help out. Object is to get the participants on the floor, when the music stops, they freeze. If they keep dancing they are eliminated. Contest continues until we have a winner.

Feather Racing   Line up teams at the starting line; give players a paper plate with a feather on it. When DJ shouts, "GO", players race to the finish line and back to the starting line as fast as they can without dropping the feather. They may not touch the feather with their hands. If the feather falls they must start over again.

"TV Trivia" & "Name That (TV Theme)Tune"   Do you know the name of Little Ricky's babysitter on "I Love Lucy", or Latka's wife’s name on "Taxi"? Can you be the first to identify the theme from "Cheers", "The Jetson's", or 100's of classic TV show theme songs? You'll be surprised what you remember about classic TV shows!

Suck It Up !!   A wild relay race using nothing but suction! Teams line up and each member is given a straw. The object is to get a marshmallow from one side of the room to the other using only the suction power through your straw.

Hula "Hoop-A-Thon"  Get into circular motion .

Coke and Pepsi   This game is played in pairs. Have each team member stand opposite each other, make one team Coke and the other Pepsi. Tell the players when their brand is called, they must run to their partner, who kneels on one leg and have a sit. The last pair to do so is called out.

Next level of play: add different commands to the game, such as Dr. Pepper, when this is called the two partners run into the middle and give each other a "high five," then return to their places.

Call out 7-up and players must switch sides.  (No one is called out during these commands, only during Coke or Pepsi play.)

Shoe Game   Get the bride and groom to sit with their backs to each other and instruct them to take off their shoes. The couple then exchanges one of their shoes for their spouses. This is when the fun begins.

The object of the game is not to win, but to see what their TRUE opinions of the other are. With one shoe in each of their hands, you then begin to ask the questions with them responding by raising up the respective shoe. Example questions are: Who takes the longest to get ready in the morning? Who drives the worst? Who hogs the bed covers?

This is really fun and the bride and groom really get a kick out of doing it too.

Huggy Bear   Everyone starts dancing. When music stops, the DJ calls out a number, and everyone must get in groups of that number. Becomes creative when: everyone in group must wear one shoe; have one person in group with braces, etc.

Musical Chairs Contest   Always a classic at any type of party.

Mummy Wrap   Teams of four, one “mummy” and three “wrappers.” Two rolls of toilet paper are used for each team. “Wrappers” run around and wrap the “mummy.” Each time the paper breaks, they must switch “wrappers.” First team to finish both rolls wins. The rules are—there are no rules. How creative can you and your team get?

Limbo   “…let’s limbo some more.” How low can you go?

Bubble-Gum Blowing Contest   The only question here is: regular or sugarless?

Thread The Needle   There are many ways to use Hula Hoops, one of the best is to make big circles of people, have them hold hands, put the hoop between them, play a fast song, then, the hoop must be passed around the circle without breaking the hands. When the music stops, whoever has the hoop around them, is out. This continues until there is only one person left.

Balloon Stomp   This is a very high-energy game. Everybody gets a balloon attached to a string that is tied to his or her ankle. The object is to pop other people’s balloons while protecting yours. Players must stay within arranged areas. You can spice this up by adding a freeze portion. When the music stops, all must stop.

Marshmallow Sculpting   Each team is given a bag of marshmallows and toothpicks. The object is to make something as a team in a certain amount of time. You can spice this up by making it a theme, i.e. Football, Horses, work related, etc...

Balloon Pass    For this fast and fun game, you make long lines of people. For example, three lines of ten people each. The first person in line passes a balloon over their head to the person behind them, who in turn passes the balloon between their legs to the person behind them, who passes the balloon over their head and so on. When the balloon gets to the end of the line, that person runs to the front of the line and it starts all over. The line that gets the starting person all the way to the back wins!

Scavenger Hunt   You can have as many people as you like play this game. Have the players come to the dance floor with a chair. Everyone must sit. The MC calls something out like a "Master Card". The players run to find one. While they are gone, we remove one chair. The person who comes back and doesn't have a seat is out. This can be done quickly by calling another item while people are still out and removing another chair.

Balloon Pop   Teams of four people each, two “poppers” and two “blowers.” The object is simple: two people blow up the balloons and two people pop them. The “poppers” must hold the balloons between themselves and pop them without touching the balloons with their hands. The team that pops the most balloons in three minutes wins.

Twenty-One   Teams of people each, form a line on one side of the dance floor. On the opposite side for each team there are 21 large plastic or Styrofoam cups. In the middle of the dance floor, taped in front of each team is an “X.” One at a time, a player from each team races to their cups, carries one to the “X” and forms a pyramid (6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1). When a player has placed their cup, they go to the end of their line and the next player does the same thing. If the pyramid falls down during the building process, the team member on the dance floor has to set up the whole thing before their team can proceed. The team that finishes their pyramid first wins.

Dance Contests    (Twist, Shag, Jitterbug, Free Style, Etc., Single Contestants, Couples) - Contestants dance in the middle of a large circle formed by everyone in attendance. Once the music starts, contestants can be eliminated by "tapping out" the majority and narrowing the competition down to a few finalists. These finalists have a dance-off and the judges (everyone in the circle) choose the winner(s) by making noise for their favorite contestant as the DJ places his hand over the contestant's head.

Toothpick Lifesaver Pass   Teams are made to stand in lines, (boy/girl/boy/girl) positioned so they are most visible to the audience. Everyone is given a toothpick. The first person in line receives a lifesaver candy and places it on his or her toothpick which they hold in their mouth. On signal, the lifesaver is passed from team member to team member, toothpick to toothpick. No hands are allowed. If the lifesaver drops, a new one is supplied and play continues. The first team to pass their lifesaver to the last person in line wins.
